Digital Programs
The Festival turns the page.
This year, the Grant Park Music Festival steps boldly into a new era with digital concert programs, accessible from home or from smart phones. In the Park, the Festival will hand out a leaner, more compact print program that provides concert basics along with a QR code to direct readers to program notes and other points of interest.
“In recent years, we’ve witnessed an evolution in the way we communicate, from the dominance of social media to texting to video conferencing. And there’s been a decisive shift away from print media,” said Festival CEO Paul Winberg. “The whole industry has changed, and we’re excited about taking this step to offer our patrons greater flexibility.” Look for these added benefits this summer:
- More in-depth program notes and artist bios.
- Using their mobile devices, audience members can customize their experience for greater accessibility.
- It’s a greener option; the Festival will consume less than half as much paper and generate a fraction of the waste.
- Digital programs are more economical, which means more of the Festival's resources can be directed to summer programming.
- The digital platform enables the Festival to provide the most up-to-date information, from program changes to donor acknowledgements to weather updates.
As always, large-print programs (paper) are available for patrons experiencing visual impairment. These can be picked up at the Patron Services Tent, or you can reach out to us at 312.742.7647.
How do I access the program?
QR codes printed in the print program will take you to your digital program. Also, Festival ushers and volunteers will be standing by to help.
