Free Seating

Whether you like sitting in a fixed seat with a view of the stage or stretching out on an expansive lawn, we have a place for you at the Grant Park Music Festival.

The Seating Bowl

Come early to grab a free seat in the back half of the Seating Bowl at the Jay Pritzker Pavilion. Seats are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Food and beverages are welcome, but walkways must remain clear of coolers and picnic baskets. Note: reservations are required for free seats at the July 20 concert with Common and the Grant Park Orchestra.

The Great Lawn

Bring a picnic and a blanket or fold-up chair to enjoy our concerts. With the help of a state-of-the-art sound system, the Grant Park Orchestra and Chorus play all the way to the back of the lawn.
