Description

Contemplation of the heavens—that sense of wonderment shared by human beings across the seas, through the ages, and among countless cultures—has long been the impetus for goosebump-inducing music for the human voice. Come along on a celestial journey with Chorus Director Christopher Bell for the ethereal sounds of Whitacre, Lauridson, Gjeilo and more. An a cappella concert presenting some of the most sublime choral works of the past 100 years, this program commemorates the 60th anniversary of the founding of the renowned Grant Park Chorus.

The Grant Park Music Festival is a key partner in Chicago Park District’s Night Out in the Parks program. Night Out in the Parks presents hundreds of free cultural events, where artists and audiences can connect and celebrate Chicago’s rich cultural tapestry in neighborhood parks.
