Carlos Kalmar and the Grant Park Orchestra perform the rich, Romantic sounds of the Symphony in D minor by César Franck. They also welcome flutist Marina Piccinini for the world premiere performance of the Flute Concerto by American composer Christopher Theofanidis. The concert opens with Deep Summer Music by Grammy-winning composer Libby Larsen.
