concert tips for star wars and more july 8

Whether you’re attending Star Wars and More on July 8 to show off your Star Wars costume or to hear the famous music of John Williams, we can’t wait to see you at the Festival!

Here are some tips for both Festival veterans and newbies about this exciting event.

Experiencing the Concert

The Orchestra will begin playing at 8 PM. We expect this to be a popular performance, so we recommend you arrive early to get a good seat!

1. If you’d like to chat during the performance, consider sitting towards the back of the Lawn so those near the front can enjoy the concert!

2. Free seating is available on the Great Lawn and in the back half of the Seating Bowl.

3. Feel free to bring along a picnic and have dinner al fresco on the Great Lawn.

4. Festival concerts happen rain or shine—check the weather beforehand and bring weather-appropriate gear!

Please also note that due to special events in and around Grant Park, please expect unusually heavy traffic and delays. Portions of Columbus Drive will be closed. Please allow extra time for travel.
