Beethoven Triple Concerto

Carlos Kalmar and the Grant Park Orchestra kick off the 2020 Festival with The Genius of Beethoven, a season-long celebration of a musical titan. A trio of soloists star in Beethoven’s majestic Triple Concerto. The concert includes music from Wagner’s lush Romantic comedy Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg and music by Chicago trailblazer Florence Price, an African-American woman who shattered two glass ceilings to become a working composer in the 1920s.
