Jazz violinist Regina Carter returns to the Grant Park Music Festival.

The New World Symphony

Marin Alsop's week-long residency continues into the weekend in a program highlighting the important and enduring contributions of African Americans to our rich heritage, in a concert that includes Dvořák's New World Symphony and jazz violinist Regina Carter playing orchestral works by Duke Ellington.

Friday's concert will be broadcast live on 98.7 WFMT and will be streamed live at WFMT.com.
