Plan your visit based on opening times of seating areas at different venues.
The Jay Pritzker Pavilion is located in Millennium Park, near Washington Street and Michigan Avenue
While a majority of Grant Park Music Festival concerts take place in the Jay Pritzker Pavilion, the Festival does move indoors on occasion. The Harris Theater for Music and Dance, located at 205 E. Randolph Street is the Festival’s favored indoor concert venue. Please note that when the Festival moves indoors opening times change.
Opening Times for the Jay Pritzker Pavilion:
The Great Lawn opens in the afternoon on concert days.
The free seating in the Seating Bowl opens 90 minutes before the scheduled concert time.
Membership Seating Areas open 1 hour before the scheduled concert time.
The indoor Harris Theater is located north of the Jay Pritzker Pavilion on Randolph Street
Opening Times for the Harris Theater:
- The Lobby opens 1 hour before the scheduled concert time.
- The House (all seating areas) opens 30 minutes before the scheduled concert time.

Concerts at Other Venues
- When the Orchestra and Chorus visit other venues, such as Chicago Park District fieldhouses or neighborhood houses of worship, the opening time is 1 hour before the scheduled concert start time, or the venue's standard opening time.
