2013 Volunteer Orientation
The 2013 Grant Park Music Festival Volunteer Orientation will be held Wednesday May 22, 6PM-8PM, in the Choral Hall of the Jay Pritzker Pavilion.
The Choral Hall is located on the upper east side of Millennium Park, behind the Jay Pritzker Pavilion bandshell.
No RSVP is required to attend this orientation.
Festival Volunteers
Festival volunteers welcome and assist patrons at information areas throughout the park during concerts and open rehearsals by distributing program books, answering patrons’ questions and helping with front of house set-up and clean-up. Festival volunteers are also invited to assist with projects in the administrative office and at other special events.
To volunteer for the Festival email Joseph Fernicola at joseph.fernicola@gpmf.org.
Docents
Docents are volunteers who commit to studying detailed aspects of the Festival, Millennium Park and classical music. Docents attend a series of pre-season learning opportunities and assist with leading discussions at open rehearsals and other events during the summer. Prospective docents must go through an application and interview process to join the program.
